I was one of ten writers selected by the BBC to complete a 12 month development programme to write for TV and radio.

In 2019, I wrote a short play, Pashto Thriller, about a break-dancing, Michael Jackson-obsessed teenager who clashes with her Pashtun grandmother from Pakistan. The play debuted at the Bradford Literature Festival.

In 2018 and 2019, I co-presented an “intellectual Loose Women” style TV show for British Muslim TV .
